Full job description

We are a food-led freehouse pub looking to recruit an experienced shift supervisor with a friendly personality and strong work ethic to join our front of house team.

As the pub is located in rural Durley, applicants will need to have their own transport – there is no local public transport.

The successful applicant will work alongside our manager and fellow shift supervisors, running services, overseeing up to six waiting staff split across the different areas of the building and garden and liaising with the kitchen.

The role is very hands on so you will need to be a real team player, serving customers both on the floor and behind the bar, able to deliver outstanding service and think on your feet.

We are looking for someone who:

- Is enthusiastic, friendly and who shows initiative

- Possesses a strong ability to multitask

- Can work alone but also in a team; is happy to give direction and also to receive it

- Is calm and confident under pressure

- Has excellent communication skills

The right person should have a proven track record front of house and have already worked in a similar role.

Holding a Food Hygiene Level 3 certificate is essential.

Personal Licence holder preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant must be able to work weekends and evenings, but flexibility is essential as shifts could include days and evenings and may be straight or split.

No live-in available.

Salary dependent on applicant, to be discussed at interview.

Please provide a cover letter with your CV on application, explaining why you would suit this role.
