About the Role:

We are looking for extroverted, outgoing individuals to join our team as Entertainment hosts, for our quizzes in the Oxfordshire area. As a host, you will travel to various pubs and venues around the county, bringing the fun and energy of a quiz night to the pubs' crowd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to predetermined pubs around Oxfordshire and surrounding areas as per the schedule
  • Mingle with pub patrons, get people excited, and boost sign-ups for the quiz
  • Lead quiz nights by reading out questions, talking between questions and generally being an engaging quiz host!

Requirements:

  • MUST have own car and valid driver’s license
  • MUST have own laptop for software operation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to entertain and engage an audience
  • Previous experience in entertainment, hospitality, or sales is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Events typically last between 2 to 3 hours per night, during the late evening (between 7-12pm)
  • You will always be based at the same pubs each week, which will be agreed with you in advance of course - as such, mileage reimbursement is not available for this role
  • Although this is a 0-hour contract, it is pretty stable work that you can plan around. Once we agree which days of the week you would like to do, they are yours - the only reason you wouldn't work them is if the venue cancels on us, otherwise they are always for you. No ever-changing rotas.
  • Please note you HAVE to have a car and laptop
  • This position is year-round, which means it's not suitable for students who have to leave for extended holidays off-term
