Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee our Wine Bar & Events Space in a beautiful Grade II* listed, 16th C property. Our panelled wine bar and garden room provide a relaxed and intimate space for couples, groups and parties, as well as doubling up for additional spaces for our wedding bookings.

This role involves managing Friday & Saturday evening operations (with scope to add more hours on a flexible basis), ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will possess good leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service, with a specific interest in wine. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant team within a unique venue that combines wine tasting, culinary experiences, and private events.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the operations of the Wine Bar & Events Space, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Oversee food preparation, bartending, serving, and food production activities to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
• Work with the wider team in event planning and execution, including set-up, service delivery, and post-event clean-up.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas.
• Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed.
• Monitor customer feedback and address any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop new menus or event concepts that enhance guest experience.
• Maintain organisation of the venue’s facilities to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.

Experience

• Proven supervising experience within a hospitality setting, ideally in a restaurant, bar, or hotel environment.
• Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and foster a positive working environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with organising events or functions within a hospitality context.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
