Chefs Cut Butchery specialise in supplying high-quality meat products to Nottingham and Derby's best restaurant & pubs. We have recently expanded, offering retail meat boxes to the general public, giving them the same great quality and pricing we provide head chefs.

Position overview:

We need a dedicated Butcher to become part of our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about producing quality products & consistency, possess strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paces environment.

As a Butcher at Chefs Cut, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our butchery department and contributing to the overall success of our business.

* Preparation and portioning of various cuts of meat according to customer specification and company standards.

* Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout, including equipment, workstations & storage areas.

* Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring quality standards are met.

* Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering and stocktaking.

* Uphold food safety and hygiene protocols at all times. Adhering to FSA guidelines and industry regulation.

* Collaborate with colleagues to fulfil customer orders accurately & efficiently.

* Support the continuous improvement of butchery processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiency & quality enhancement.

* Operate equipment & machinery safely & effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Experience working in butchery or commercial kitchens is essential.

* Strong knowledge of meat cuts, handling procedures, and food safety standards.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach.

* Ability to work effectively as part of our team & independently.

* Understanding the small things that make a difference to the service we offer to our customers.

* A team player, to become apart of our expanding team.

* Experience can come from anywhere and for the right person we'll give all the necessary training.
