Are you a passionate hospitality professional looking for your next challenge? The Anglers, a popular riverside pub in the heart of Walton-on-Thames, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead our team and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the pub, ensuring outstanding customer service, strong team performance, and smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the General Manager in the daily running of the pub
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the front-of-house team
  • Delivering excellent customer service and resolving guest queries professionally
  • Managing staff rotas, training, and performance
  • Assisting with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations
  • Driving sales and helping achieve business targets
  • Acting as Manager on Duty when required

What We're Looking For

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A hands-on approach with a positive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Personal Licence holder desirable but not essential
