Assistant Head Honcho of Hops & Spirits

The Chequers Inn Loose - Where everyone knows your name; yes they're watching you

We're a cosy village pub with a penchant for puns and pints. If you can handle a crowd of regulars and have a knack for making the perfect pint, we (may) want you!

  • Be the master of ceremonies, keeping the spirits high and the glasses fuller than the gossip (an impossible task)
  • Manage a team of merry bartenders and make sure they always start a dance off mid-shift
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel like a local, even if they're just passing through.
  • Handle any and all shenanigans with a smile and a cheeky joke

A sense of humour that's as strong as our best ale is a pre-requisite. Experience in bar management or at least a good story about the time you accidentally flooded the restaurant. Juggling optional, but comes in handy.
