Construction Buyer

Co. Antrim – Belfast

Salary – up to £50,000

This is your opportunity to join an award-winning fitout and construction company who due to continued success are seeking for a Construction Buyer to join their highly successful team on a permanent basis

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will…

  • Compare, analyse, and negotiate to secure the most favourable terms
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure procurement aligns with project budgets.
  • Ensure quality materials are procured and delivered for all contracts in accordance with the Programme and Schedule.
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving and sustainable opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Assess current and future material procurement requirements
  • Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project specs
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience and sustainability
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of supplier performance
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Department and maintain control procedures in accordance within different ISOs
  • Other adhoc duties

About you…

  • +2 years experience of working within a similar role – ideally within the construction industry
  • Sound understanding of the construction process.
  • Experience of Preparing, producing and presenting reports.
