What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Designing, developing and executing manual and automated test cases across web, mobile and backend systems
  • Identifying, documenting and prioritizing defects with clear reproduction steps and expected versus actual results
  • Collaborating with developers and product teams to understand requirements and validate acceptance criteria
  • Contributing to test automation frameworks and scripting using industry-standard tools
  • Performing regression testing, functional testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Maintaining test documentation, test plans and traceability matrices
  • Participating in code reviews and quality gates to ensure standards are met
  • Supporting continuous integration and deployment pipelines with timely test feedback

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • 2–4 years of professional software testing experience, including manual and automated testing
  • Working knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG or similar
  • Familiarity with SQL, scripting languages such as Python or Java, and version control systems
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Experience writing clear, detailed test cases and defect reports
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail or Azure Test Plans
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work independently and within teams

Nice-to-have:

  • API testing experience using tools such as Postman
  • Performance or load testing with tools such as JMeter
  • Experience in regulated industries or safety-critical systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
