MTrec's New Job Opportunity:

MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our industry leading manufacturing client in their search for a talented and experience QA Technician. The successful applicant will be joining a close-knit team of quality professionals and will be responsible for ensuring consistent standards for all things quality related.

This role is backshift/ night shift only.

The Job you will do:

  • Performed in-process quality checks, including line inspections, metal detection, gas analysis, seal integrity, and blend verification.
  • Monitored and controlled production activities to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Conducted routine temperature monitoring and maintained accurate records.
  • Managed controls for plasters, knives, PPE, and other critical production items.
  • Supported the control of chemicals, metals, and foreign body risks within the production environment.
  • Maintained high standards of personal hygiene and enforced workplace hygiene procedures across operational areas.
  • Assisted with cleaning validation activities, hygiene inspections, and verification procedures.
  • Carried out ATP testing, microbiological swabbing, and product sampling to support quality assurance programs.
  • Supported traceability processes and completed daily and weekly equipment calibrations.
  • Managed rework procedures and prepared detailed shift handover reports.
  • Investigated and took immediate corrective action on incidents relating to quality, authenticity, safety, and regulatory compliance

About you:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
  • Basic Health and Safety training, including COSHH, manual handling, and safe working practices.
  • Previous experience in food production, Quality Assurance (QA), or technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, compliance requirements, and production processes.
