Full job description

Senior Data Scientist – Naimuri - Manchester

Naimuri is offering an exciting opportunity to use your data science expertise to help make the UK a safer place through innovation. We partner with government and law‑enforcement customers to solve some of the most challenging data and technology problems. We’re now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our mission.

At Naimuri, people and culture come first. We celebrate diversity, welcome candidates from all backgrounds, and provide an inclusive, supportive environment. We’re also happy to accommodate any accessibility or neurodiversity needs throughout the recruitment process.

About Us

For the past decade, we’ve grown from a small tech start‑up into a thriving community embedded in Manchester’s tech ecosystem. Our name reflects our ethos: “nai” (not) + “muri” (overburden). This principle shapes how we work, empowering our teams to think independently, innovate, and deliver high‑quality solutions in a bias‑free, agile environment. Our cornerstones are Wellbeing, Empowerment, Perpetual Edge and Delivery.

About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll design, build and deliver innovative data‑driven solutions. You’ll work across the full lifecycle—exploring, transforming and modelling data; applying statistical methods; developing ML/AI models; and visualising insights for customers. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and developers while supporting and mentoring early‑career colleagues.

Typical work includes:

  • Analysing and modelling complex datasets
  • Building data pipelines and engineering platforms
  • Developing and deploying ML/AI models
  • Creating visualisations and presenting findings
  • Experiment design, research and evaluation
  • Helping shape Naimuri’s data science strategy

About You

You’ll bring strong industry experience, deep technical capability, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, curious mindset. Experience with Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), data pipelines and the ML lifecycle is highly valued. Experience in areas such as data synthesis, AI assurance or knowledge graphs is a bonus.

Location & Working Style

Based in Salford Quays, Manchester, with hybrid working—typically 1–2 days a week on site depending on project needs.

We’ll support you through every step of the recruitment process.
