Quality Inspector

Location: Consett
Salary: £30,784 per annum (£16.00 per hour)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Staff Power Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Consett.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong quality background within manufacturing or engineering who is looking to join a stable company offering excellent benefits and regular overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out QA/QC inspections on incoming materials and finished products
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company quality procedures and ISO9001:2015 standards
  • Identify, report and investigate non-conforming products
  • Work alongside production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure all customer quality requirements are met
  • Prioritise inspections in line with production schedules and customer deadlines
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation

About You

  • Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working to ISO9001:2015 standards
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Competent using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Well organised with good time management skills
  • Experience working with pumps, rotating equipment or precision-machined components would be advantageous

Hours

37 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:15pm
  • Friday: 7:45am – 12:45pm

Pay & Benefits

  • £30,784 per annum (£16.00 per hour)
  • Overtime available:
  • 1.33x weekdays
  • 1.5x Saturdays
  • 2x Sundays
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
