Why this role matters

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Head of Quality – Aseptic Compounding to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the team during a period of transition and continued growth.

This is a critical leadership role, responsible for safeguarding patient safety and ensuring the highest standards of quality across our compounding unit. You’ll play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement, and providing expert guidance to support the delivery of safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and overseeing all aspects of quality across the compounding unit.
  • Managing regulatory inspections, audits, and licences related to specials manufacturing
  • Overseeing approval and release processes
  • Ensuring appropriate validation, testing, and monitoring processes are in place
  • Leading investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Providing professional leadership to the QA team, driving performance and development
  • Monitoring supplier quality and outsourced GMP activities
  • Acting as a named Head of Quality Control and eligible Releasing Officer within the QMS

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven experience leading a QA function within an aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MHRA requirements, GMP, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience hosting inspections and managing audits
  • Leadership capability with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence and engage stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • A quality-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
