It’s more than cleaning – it’s creating a place where people feel safe, welcome and valued
At Quarriers, we know that the environment around us shapes how we feel. For the people who stay at Dunn Street, this isn’t just a building - it’s a place to relax, to recharge, and to feel at home.
Your new opportunity
We’re looking for a part time Domestic who takes pride in creating spaces where people feel comfortable, respected and cared for.
At Dunn Street, you’ll be part of a service that offers short breaks to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs - giving people the opportunity to enjoy new experiences while their families and carers can take time to rest and recharge.
Dunn Street is a small, purpose-built respite service supporting up to six individuals at a time, designed to be a safe, welcoming “home away from home.
People come here to:

- Spend time with others
- Try new activities
- Feel supported in a relaxed, homely environment
This role is about more than maintaining standards - it’s about contributing to dignity, comfort and wellbeing.
You’ll:
- Take pride in keeping bedrooms, bathrooms and shared spaces clean, fresh and welcoming
- Support with laundry and day-to-day housekeeping
- Ensure the environment always feels safe and ready for those staying at the service
- Work alongside the team to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes
- Play a key part in infection control, hygiene and safety
Working pattern
We believe in being open and clear about what the role looks like:
- 16 hours per week across 3 days
- Preferred days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Preferred hours:
- Monday & Friday: 9:00am – 2:30pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
About you
We’re not looking for a perfect CV -we’re looking for the right values and skills.

- Takes pride in your work and enjoys creating clean, welcoming environments
- Notices the details that make a space feel comfortable and cared for
- Works well independently while being part of a wider team
- Is reliable, organised and consistent
- Understands (or is open to learning) the importance of working in a care setting
