Role Overview

This position combines Ramp Team Leader and Training responsibilities, supporting the delivery of high-quality operational performance and staff development across all BOH activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining training standards, safety, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training in line with the published training plan for all BOH activities
  • Conduct both classroom-based and practical training sessions
  • Maintain and promote high standards of safety, compliance, and operational procedures
  • Carry out Ramp Team Leader duties when not engaged in training
  • Lead, support, and mentor team members to ensure high performance and compliance
  • Adapt training delivery in line with operational requirements
  • Monitor and report on training progress and effectiveness

Essential Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years’ aviation experience
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and operational schedules
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to training delivery
  • Fully trained across GSE and ramp procedures (Headset, Aircraft pushback operations, Hi-loader operation, Aircraft de-icing procedures, Aircraft towing)

Qualifications & Licences

  • Recognised training qualification (e.g. AET, RTITB or equivalent)
  • Full, valid UK Driving Licence

Shift & Flexibility Requirements

Given the operational nature of this role, full flexibility is essential. You must be available to work across all shift patterns, including:

  • Day and night shifts
  • Weekends
  • Bank holidays and religious festivals

Operations run 24/7, 365 days a year, and shift patterns may vary in line with business requirements.

Additional Information

  • This is a line-based operational role
  • Ramp Team Leader duties are expected outside of training delivery
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per hour
