Job Summary:


Support Workers are central to Praxis Care’s mission of providing quality care to individuals. Each Support Worker is part of a dedicated team that delivers high-quality, reliable support services.

*Candidate note: This role is located on the Isle of Man and applicants must either be a resident or hold a work permit at time of appointment to take up the role*

All advertised salaries are based on 39 hours (FTE) and will be pro rata to contracted hours.**

About The Role

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, which may include assistance with domestic, social skills, and personal care.
  • Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programs.
  • Work with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving conflicts or challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques and language.
  • Ensure that medication is stored and administered according to Praxis Care’s Medication Policy when necessary.
  • Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, accurately recording and logging important information per reporting guidelines.
  • Stay informed about all policies and procedures within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring participation in all related training.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Participate in the company appraisal and staff review process.
  • Model the company values, behaviors, and competencies at all times.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities and duties as required.
  • Work necessary hours to meet the needs of the service.

Required Criteria

  • Right to work and live in Isle of Man
  • Full valid driving license and access to own vehicle (If a disability precludes an individual from holding a driver’s licence, it should be stated how they can meet the mobility requirement of the post)
