Job Overview
I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carer to provide exceptional support and personalised care to a 28 year old business and marketing graduate . This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in my life, requiring assistance with daily activities, personal care and health management,. While the ideal candidate will possess relevant experience with live-in care, care experience is not essential for this role as full, bespoke training will be provided to meet my individual needs,. The position involves living on-site with me ensuring continuous support and fostering a comfortable, safe environment.

I studied business management (marketing) at Cardiff university before going on to study marketing with festivals and events management at Edinburgh Napier University. I am a physically disabled, electric wheelchair user with a condition that is likened to Schwartz-Jampel Syndrome.

I love to travel so you will be required to come on adventures with me. I am currently planning a trip to Italy for April 2027. Being a confident driver is essential to the role as I’m not able to travel by plane.
I love watching tv and have many subscriptions to various platforms. I love marvel movies and series as well as anything comedy and fantasy. I also love music and have very eclectic tastes including country, pop, rap, punk-pop, rock and swing as well as some classic 80’s songs. I love Taylor Swift, and have seen her live 3 times! Unfortunately, I missed out on tickets to the Era’s tour.

Duties

  • Provide personalised care tailored to individual needs, including assistance with mobility, personal hygiene, and daily routines.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with healthcare plans.
  • Support the client with daily PEG feeding to meet nutrition requirements (you will be given formal training on how to use the PEG)
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organised living space.
  • Drive me to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
  • Support me with activities of daily living in a respectful and dignified manner.

Skills

  • No care experience is needed but would be helpful in noticing the little things.
  • The ability to adapt to challenging situations.
  • A mature and responsible attitude.
  • Be able to work off own initiative.
  • Be caring and have a good sense of humour.
  • Previous complex care experience (desireable)
  • Hold a full UK driving licence for transportation duties as you will be required to drive my adapted vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organised with the ability to manage medication schedules and care routines effectively.
  • Fluent in English.

This role offers an enriching career opportunity for anyone committed to delivering high-quality live in care. Applicants should be organised, empathetic, and capable of working independently while maintaining excellent standards of safety and professionalism.

Flexibility is needed with the work schedule to cover holiday and sick leave on your weeks off.

Due to the amount of training involved a minimum of 1 year commitment is required, pending a 6 week probationary period, Disclosure and Barring (DBS) checks and two satisfactory references.
