Job Description
Start here. Grow here.
As an Associate within AECOM’s London Project Management Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale built environment and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their successful delivery while using your expertise to lead more junior members of our team and contribute to business initiatives. Your role will involve independently overseeing projects, guiding junior team members, and leading on client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will support business development activities and contribute to AECOM's team and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Deliver: Drive project delivery on our project management commissions to meet time, budget, and quality requirements, while fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and team members. Use your experience to take responsibility for our service delivery on large-scale projects.
- Client-Centric Excellence: Strengthen client relationships by delivering an exceptional service, aligning project outcomes with client objectives and contributing to the business’ growth.
- Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior members of our team in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture.
- Industry Engagement and Growth: Support bids and business development activities, engage with industry forums and networking events, and take ownership of your professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the organisation.
Our Team & Offer
As part of AECOM’s London and South-East Project Management team, you will join a diverse group of 125+ Project Managers at various stages of their careers. Operating from our London (Aldgate) and our Oxford offices, we work in a wider variety of sectors, including Commercial, Residential, Government & Defense, Occupier, Healthcare, Tertiary Education and Infrastructure.
- Flexibility and Growth: Benefit from flexible working through our Freedom to Grow policy, as well as tailored training, mentoring, and leadership opportunities to advance your career.
- Rewards and Benefits: Enjoy a competitive pension scheme, company share incentive plan, and additional support for long-term success (such as award-winning armed forces support and other internal support networks).
- Diverse Opportunities: Work on a wide range of projects with global clients, including potential for international assignments.
- Inclusive Culture: Join a strong, collaborative team with regular social events and opportunities to give back through Social Value initiatives, including two CSR days annually.
