Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to high standards, ensuring excellent food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents within a dynamic and customer-focused setting.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding work areas
  • Assist with meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver efficient service during busy periods
  • Assist in the development of new menu items centred around grilled cuisine
  • Serve dishes promptly and professionally to customers or front-of-house staff as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques specific to grilling
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting is highly desirable
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service
