Full job description

Key Responsibilities -

  • Handling tenant, landlord and contractor enquiries via phone and email.
  • Supporting the property management team with day-to-day administration.
  • Logging and coordinating maintenance requests.
  • Liaising with contractors to arrange repairs and follow up on progress.
  • Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate property records.
  • Assisting with tenancy paperwork, compliance documents and property files.
  • Supporting with property inspections and preparing basic inspection notes.
  • Helping to monitor outstanding maintenance, rent queries and general tenant issues.
  • Communicating professionally with tenants, landlords, contractors and colleagues.
  • Supporting the wider lettings and property management team where required.
  • Assisting with appointment booking, filing, correspondence and general office duties.
  • Providing excellent customer service throughout the property management process.

Experience/ Requirements -

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
  • Able to work well within a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Confident speaking with people over the phone and by email.
  • Interested in building a long-term career within property management and lettings.
  • Full UK driving licence and own car (preferred),
  • The preferred applicant will be based in South Birmingham, Solihull or the surrounding areas.
  • Must be able to commute reliably to Birmingham City Centre.

You will be undertaking a Housing Property Management Level 3 apprenticeship, which typically runs for 18 months. Throughout the programme, you will receive 1-to-1 support from a dedicated tutor while working towards an industry-recognised Housing Property Management Level 3 qualification.

Education and Experience:

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) desirable
  • Willingness to complete an apprenticeship qualification
  • Previous experience within administration or paperwork-based roles would be beneficial but not essential
  • No previous estate agency experience required, full training will be provided
