Treble Connect is recruiting on behalf of Drs Foster, Logan and Macdonald

The aim is to provide an efficient service to both the Practice and Patients. The post-holder should be capable of working as part of a busy team and be flexible regarding the duties they will be expected to perform on a daily basis.

The MAIN DUTIES involved in the job are as follows:

  • Provide back-up and support to the reception desk as and when required.
  • Answering the telephone, signposting patients to appropriate services, making appointments for Doctors and Nurses. Giving test results to patients.
  • Taking house call requests and passing them to the Doctor in the appropriate manner. Taking messages efficiently for Doctors, Health Visitors, District Nurses etc.
  • Dealing with patients in a sympathetic manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Using computer system for EMIS data input, appointments, prescriptions, tasks etc,

also Docman for scanning, EDT, workflows etc.

  • Maintaining all clerical aspects of repeat prescription service, including processing.
  • Telephoning hospitals for reports etc., ordering ambulances.
  • Scanning and filing hospital reports and results efficiently into medical records accurately and directing these for the attention of the Doctors and Nurses and other staff.
  • Implement evening closing up procedure and checking security of premises.
  • Coding patients medical records.
  • Medicine management.
  • iGPR requests

Some of the OTHER DUTIES involved in the job include:

  • Receive patients in the reception area, noting their attendance on computer screen.

Oversee the waiting area.

  • Registering patients in the appropriate way, checking forms handed in. Upkeep of medical records.
  • Attending to incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Alerting Doctors and Nurses about specimens handed in.
  • Process clinical referral letters electronically and manually as required by the GPs.

Provide secretarial/ clerical assistance including word processing.

  • Photocopying of patient case notes for GPs to complete insurance reports.
  • Report to colleagues any relevant information and issues not complete.
  • Provide patients with information as required and according to agreed procedures.
  • Ensuring GPs rooms are stocked with medical supplies as per the list
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the Doctors to ensure the smooth running of the surgery.

Pay: £13.31-£13.90 per hour
