Full job description

Alumme Chiropractic | Full-time | 32 hours per week | £13.50 per hour

Please note: This is a 32-hour role involving early morning starts, evening finishes and occasional weekend events. Applicants must be comfortable with this working pattern.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys people.

Alumme Chiropractic is growing, and we're looking for a warm, confident and highly reliable Chiropractic Assistant to become an important part of our team.

We're a modern, vibrant chiropractic clinic passionate about helping people move better, feel better and live healthier lives.

This isn't a traditional reception role.

You'll be one of the main people our patients interact with every time they visit the clinic. You'll help create an exceptional patient experience, keep the clinic running smoothly, support our chiropractors and play an important role in welcoming new patients into the practice.

If you're naturally personable, organised, confident speaking to people and looking for a stable, long-term role where you can genuinely make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a varied, people-focused role combining patient care, customer service, administration, clinic support and patient communication.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming patients and creating a warm, professional experience
  • Building genuine relationships with patients and making them feel comfortable and cared for
  • Managing bookings, appointments, confirmations and rescheduling
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative systems
  • Supporting our chiropractors during patient appointments
  • Supporting patient assessments following full training and within the scope of the role
  • Helping maintain smooth clinic flow throughout the day
  • Keeping the clinic clean, organised and presented to a high standard
  • Following up with prospective patients and helping them book their first appointment
  • Making telephone calls to new leads generated through our marketing
  • Supporting patient events, workshops and community activities
  • Contributing ideas and taking ownership of improving the patient experience

Full training will be provided, so previous chiropractic experience isn't essential.

What matters most is your attitude, your ability to connect with people and your willingness to learn.

The Person We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, friendly and naturally personable
  • Confident speaking to patients face-to-face and on the telephone
  • Professional, polished and approachable
  • Highly organised, reliable and dependable
  • Calm and capable when things get busy
  • A strong communicator who genuinely listens to people
  • Comfortable taking responsibility and working independently
  • Positive, energetic and proactive
  • Detail-oriented and organised
  • Interested in health, wellness and personal development
  • Comfortable using computers, booking systems and everyday technology
  • A genuine team player
  • Looking for a long-term position where they can become an important part of the team

Previous experience in healthcare, dentistry, private clinics, hospitality, customer service, fitness, beauty, wellness or another patient-facing environment would be advantageous.

However, the right attitude and personality are more important to us than previous chiropractic experience.

This Role Will Suit You If...

You enjoy being around people and get satisfaction from making someone's day a little better.

You take pride in doing things properly.

You like being busy and having variety in your day.

You're the kind of person who notices when something needs doing and gets on with it.

You're dependable, organised and take responsibility for your work.

You're looking for somewhere you can stay, develop and become a valued member of a team — rather than simply looking for your next job.

And importantly, you're comfortable with the working pattern required for this role.

Working Hours

32 hours per week

Our current working pattern is:

Monday
7:30am–12:30pm & 2:00pm–7:30pm

Tuesday
7:30am–12:30pm
Team training: 12:30pm–1:15pm

Wednesday
2:30pm–7:30pm

Thursday
7:30am–12:30pm & 2:00pm–7:30pm

There will also be occasional weekend events where your support will be required.

Please only apply if you are comfortable with early starts, evening finishes, split shifts and occasional weekend events.

Why Join Alumme Chiropractic?

You'll be joining a growing clinic with a genuine focus on patient experience, team development and making a difference in our community.

We offer:

  • £13.50 per hour
  • 32 hours per week
  • A stable, long-term position
  • Full training and support
  • Chiropractic healthcare package
  • Employee discount
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • Regular team events
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development
  • Access to seminars and training both locally and abroad
  • The opportunity to grow with a developing clinic
  • A positive, supportive and energetic team environment

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to become a key part of a clinic that genuinely cares about its patients and its people.

Our Culture

At Alumme Chiropractic, we believe the experience patients receive is just as important as the care itself.

We want every person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, listened to and valued.

That starts with our team.

We're looking for someone who brings energy, warmth, professionalism and ownership to their role and who wants to contribute to something bigger than simply completing a list of tasks.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the kind of environment where you'd thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

Please send us your CV and a brief cover letter explaining:

  • Why you're interested in joining Alumme Chiropractic
  • What you enjoy about working with people
  • What you believe makes an exceptional patient/customer experience
  • Why you feel you'd be a great fit for our team

We're looking for the right person, not simply the right CV.

If you're warm, reliable, organised, confident and genuinely care about people, we would love to meet you.
