Full job description

Dental receptionists are a key part of the dental team, from the first phone call to the completion of treatment, they provide outstanding customer service to all patients.

Key responsibilities:

· Answering queries ensuring an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone

· Booking and rearranging appointments in the most efficient manner using a diary-management system

· Taking payments

Key skills and experience:

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, ideally gained in a front of house customer facing role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of organisation
  • An excellent team player
  • Positive nature - able to adapt and take on change easily
  • Responsible and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Able to use IT and computer-based systems
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills
  • Prior experience in a dental/medical background (desirable)
  • Greeting patients with a warm welcome, answering phone, checking in & booking of patient appointments, handling customer enquiries, processing payments, general administrative work and any other duties as required
  • Personable and well presented
  • Confident in reception role

  • Able to work using own initiative, as well as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time

Salary: £15.00

Schedule:

  • Only Saturdays 08:45-13:45 (5 hours)
  • There is scope in future for increasing hours/days by adding a weekday should candidate be interested in this.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with staff and patients, be computer literate and able to work under pressure.

The role will include working as part of the front of house reception team

Previous dental reception training would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.
