Showroom Receptionist

Shifts 30 hours per week (3 x 10 hour shifts across Friday to Sunday, 9am to 7pm)

Salary £25,700 per annum

Position Overview

Due to continued business growth and customer demand, we are opening our third destination showroom – our first in Scotland – and are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Showroom Receptionist to join our dynamic team.

Our Livingston showroom will be one of the largest kitchen showrooms in the UK, featuring over 50 stunning displays and expected to welcome hundreds of visitors each week. Customers visit to explore our kitchens and receive expert advice on our vast product range as they plan their dream space.

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role with plenty of interaction. As a key member of our Showroom Team, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring they feel welcome and informed throughout their visit. Your role will involve guiding customers through their showroom journey, explaining our company ethos and how they can move forward to make their dream kitchen become a reality.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement - Welcoming customers to the Showroom to ensure a positive first impression, explaining how the business operates, where to find information and how to access our support services in a prompt and professional manner.

Presentation – Ensuring the receptionist desk and customer refreshments area remain clean, tidy and professional throughout the day.

Visitor management – Welcoming contractors/suppliers/other visitors to site, ensuring they are signed in and out, and notifying the appropriate department/manager of their arrival.

Admin Support – Maintain an inventory of stock/consumables and ordering replacements. Answer incoming calls, emails, mail and online enquiries to the Showroom Reception from internal and external customers. Undertaking other administrative tasks as directed by the Management Team.

Team Support - Work collaboratively to ensure all customers are served, seeking colleague support to hand off customers requiring detailed information and advice.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating strength in building rapport with customers and provide outstanding service
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Technologically competent with experiencing using CRM systems and Microsoft 365
  • Self-motivated with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Calm, friendly, and approachable under pressure
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role. Previous experience in a showroom or retail environment is a plus

Working Hours

Remuneration

£25,700 per annum, inclusive of enhanced weekend rate
