Full job description

We are looking for a part time experienced legal receptionist for our Highcliffe office.

Primarily working Thursdays and Fridays as well as holiday cover for the receptionist who works Monday to Wednesday.

In the role, you will be required to welcome visitors and answer calls to the office. As a legal receptionist, your duties include handling enquiries, managing mail, deliveries, taking payments from clients in person and via the telephone. You may also be required to assist with filing and photocopying etc.

You should exhibit excellent communication skills and competency in general office administration.

The hours are Thursday and Friday, 9am till 5pm with a 45 minute lunch break 12 noon till 12:45pm.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Prior experience as a legal receptionist essential
  • Familiarity with legal terms, legal documents, filing and archiving
  • Welcoming clients and visitors upon arrival at reception
  • Answering, screening and forwarding phone calls in a professional manner
  • Observing business etiquette and maintaining a professional appearance
  • Directing flow of mail and deliveries to reach the intended recipients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with printers, copiers, scanners and call forwarding systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
