Full job description

Aviva Cosmetic Dentistry is a fully private, high-end practice in St Albans specialising in implant dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, advanced restorative dentistry, and smile design.

We are looking for a qualified dental nurse who can also confidently hold their own at front of house — someone who is equally at home chairside as they are welcoming patients and coordinating appointments.

This is not a general dental practice role. Our clinical cases are complex, our standards are high, and we are looking for someone who genuinely wants to be part of a practice that takes dentistry seriously.

Responsibilities

Clinical

  • Chairside nursing support across implant surgery, restorative, and cosmetic procedures
  • Preparation and decontamination of instruments and clinical equipment to the highest standards
  • Cross-infection control in line with CQC requirements and practice protocols
  • Accurate clinical record keeping using Sensei Cloud
  • Supporting digital clinical workflows including, CBCT scanning, intraoral scanning (iTero, PrimeScan) and 3D printing (SprintRay)

Reception & Patient Care

  • Greeting patients professionally and ensuring an exceptional first impression
  • Managing appointment scheduling and diary coordination efficiently
  • Handling patient enquiries by phone and in person with warmth and professionalism
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting administrative tasks
  • Helping patients feel informed and at ease throughout their visit

Skills & Experience

  • Dental nurse with a recognised qualification — essential
  • Experience in a private dental practice is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to implant, cosmetic, or advanced restorative dentistry is a significant advantage
  • Confident, professional communicator with a natural ability to put patients at ease
  • Well-organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Comfortable with digital systems — Sensei Cloud experience is beneficial
  • Reliable, proactive, and a genuine team player

What We Offer

  • A clinical environment working with advanced digital technology
  • Exposure to complex implant and restorative cases
  • Structured induction and ongoing professional development
  • A close-knit, high-performing team with strong values
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
