MAK Jobs is recruiting an Operational Recruitment Consultant to manage and grow a portfolio of established industrial contracts. The position centres on managing and developing a portfolio of established industrial contracts, delivering high-quality services to clients and candidates, and actively contributing to business growth in a performance-oriented environment.
You will own a portfolio of high-volume clients, ensuring high-quality recruitment support, strong retention, and consistent service delivery while contributing to account growth.
Location: Rugby
Salary: £28,000 - £31,0000 per annum + uncapped commission
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00, with flexibility for shift patterns, on-call, and occasional extended hours/site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates to determine their suitability for industrial positions.
- Consult with clients to accurately assess hiring requirements and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
- Develop and grow client accounts by proactively expanding activity, identifying new opportunities, increasing placement volumes, and driving revenue growth.
- Cultivate and strengthen long-term partnerships with established clients and candidates.
- Conduct regular client site visits to enhance engagement, understand operational needs, identify further business opportunities, and perform check-ins with placed staff.
- Conduct regular check-ins with placed agency workers on client sites to monitor performance, attendance, welfare, and satisfaction; address concerns promptly; and support retention.
- Negotiate pay rates, contract terms, and commercial arrangements between clients and agency workers.
- Manage the full placement process, including preparing candidates for interviews, coordinating selection events, handling offers, and facilitating onboarding.
- Maintain exceptional service standards to achieve high levels of client satisfaction and positive candidate experiences.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, including right-to-work checks, Agency Workers Regulations, and other employment standards.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, revenue targets, and individual performance objectives.
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems, candidate, and client databases.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.
- Monitor candidate sickness, absences, and related compliance issues.
- Process agency worker timesheets promptly and accurately.
- Update and optimise job postings across relevant job boards and social media platforms regularly.
- Provide clients with market insights, salary benchmarking, and recruitment advice to support informed decision-making.
- Participate in on-call arrangements and undertake any additional duties commensurate with the role.
About You
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- Demonstrable recruitment experience, preferably in industrial, warehouse, or logistics environments.
- Strong client servicing and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) for reporting, data management, and daily operations.
- A target-driven yet service-oriented approach with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Adaptability and comfort with operational, site-based work.
