Location: Sandville Self Help Foundation
Hours: 17 hrs per week, £13,260.00 per annum
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Annual Leave: 95.2hrs per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term 3 years

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Complementary Therapist and Bereavement Practitioner to deliver high-quality, client-focused care. This dual role is pivotal in supporting clients through therapeutic practices while also addressing the emotional challenges of loss and bereavement.
As part of our team, you will:
- Complementary Therapy Services:
- Provide a range of therapeutic interventions (e.g., reflexology, reiki or similar therapies) tailored to clients’ individual needs.
- Oversee the volunteer complementary therapists ensuring safe and effective treatments.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold professional standards of care.
- Bereavement Support Services:
- Deliver one-to-one and group bereavement support to clients and their families.
- Develop and facilitate workshops or support groups addressing grief, resilience, and coping strategies in conjunction with the Director.
- Offer tailored interventions sensitive to diverse cultural and individual needs.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant qualifications in complementary therapies (e.g., reflexology, reiki).
- A recognised qualification in bereavement counselling or related field.
- Proven experience in delivering both therapeutic and bereavement services, preferably within a healthcare, hospice, or charitable setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide empathetic and non-judgmental support.
- A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
