Podiatrist - Join Our Award-Winning Multidisciplinary Clinic
Northallerton Osteopaths – Hale House | North Yorkshire
Employed position | 2 days per week, with scope to grow
£20–£25 per hour, depending on experience
£40,560–£50,700 full-time equivalent, based on a 39-hour paid working week
Are you a patient-focused podiatrist looking for an opportunity to develop your practice within an experienced multidisciplinary team?
At Northallerton Osteopaths – Hale House, we pride ourselves on exceptional patient care and a collaborative approach to healthcare. These values helped us achieve UK Large Practice of the Year 2024, awarded by the Institute of Osteopathy.
We are seeking a dedicated podiatrist who shares these values and would welcome the opportunity to help develop our podiatry service.
About Us
Northallerton Osteopaths – Hale House is an established, award-winning, osteopathy-led multidisciplinary healthcare practice with two locations in North Yorkshire.
Our Northallerton clinical team comprises 16 practitioners, each bringing their own expertise to a shared approach to patient care. We take time to understand each patient’s needs and work together to identify the most appropriate treatment and support.
Alongside our successful Easingwold clinic, we are known across North Yorkshire for our professional, friendly care.
Our current services include osteopathy, sports therapy, sports massage, acupuncture, podiatry, foot health care, audiology, nutritional therapy and reflexology, with physiotherapy planned for Summer 2027.
We also have a dedicated Sports Therapy Studio, equipped for patient rehabilitation and in-house classes, alongside Gait & Motion gait analysis technology.
The Role
This employed position will initially involve two days per week at Northallerton, with the potential to increase to three days as your patient list develops.
With the expansion of our Easingwold clinic due for completion in Spring 2027, there may also be an opportunity to offer an additional day per week at that location. This provides flexibility and scope to develop the role around your availability and professional interests.
The clinical focus will be general podiatry, diabetic foot assessment, skin and nail conditions, and nail surgery for ingrown toenails.
Our Osteopaths and Sports therapists already provide gait analysis using Gait & Motion technology and prescribe Phits orthotics, so an MSK specialism is welcome but is not essential. You will bring specialist podiatric expertise to the team, assessing and treating patients with more complex foot health needs. This service will be supported by our existing foot health practitioner offering a routine foot care service.
This role would suit a practitioner who values:
- Patient-centred care: Building trusting relationships, providing clear advice and helping patients make informed decisions about their foot health.
- Clinical excellence: Delivering thorough assessments and effective treatment within their clinical competence.
- Autonomy and collaboration: Managing their own caseload confidently while working with the wider clinical team
- Professional development: Continuing to learn and contributing to the growth of a high-quality podiatry service.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and treat a varied range of podiatric conditions, developing individualised treatment plans.
- Manage ingrown toenails, including nail surgery under local anaesthetic where clinically appropriate.
- Conduct diabetic foot reviews, including vascular and neurological assessment, risk identification and appropriate onward referral.
- Assess and manage thickened nails, suspected fungal nail infections, dry and cracked skin, corns and calluses.
- Provide comprehensive foot health checks and advice on footwear, prevention and ongoing care.
- Assess patients referred by GPs and other healthcare professionals, recognising when further investigation or specialist care is required.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and high standards of consent, infection prevention and patient safety.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support coordinated patient care.
- Help develop the podiatry service and build lasting relationships with patients and local referrers.
What We Offer
- An employed position paying £20–£25 per hour (£40,560–£50,700 FTE), depending on experience.
- Flexible working days, agreed around your availability and the clinic’s needs.
- Scope to increase your hours, with potential opportunities across both clinics.
- A supportive, experienced team that values collaboration and shared learning.
- Mentoring and a CPD allowance, which can be provided by agreement.
- An established clinical environment, with a dedicated rehabilitation studio and gait analysis technology.
- The opportunity to help shape and grow our podiatry service within an established, award-winning clinic.
About You
We would like to hear from candidates who have:
- A BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Appropriate qualification and HCPC POM-A annotation for administering local anaesthetic.
- Competence in general podiatry, diabetic foot assessment and nail surgery.
- Strong clinical judgement and confidence managing a varied caseload within their scope of practice.
- A warm, professional approach and excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based care and continuing professional development.
- Enthusiasm for building a patient list and developing a service within a multidisciplinary clinic.
Experience in private practice or community podiatry would be advantageous, but is not essential if you can demonstrate the clinical competencies required.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to develop your career within a clinic where collaboration is part of everyday practice. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, contribute your own expertise and help patients access care that reflects their individual needs.
As our services and facilities expand, we can offer scope for professional development and a growing role across two established North Yorkshire locations.
How to Apply
We will not accept applications via the Indeed platform.
If you share our commitment to excellent patient care and would like to work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, we would welcome your application.
Please submit your CV and a Cover Letter directly to ross@halehousenorthallerton.co.uk. Please tell us as much as you can about yourself: your experience, your special interests and your patient ethos, and we will be in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
Pay: £40,560.00-£50,700.00 per year
Benefits:
- Employee mentoring programme
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
