Refrigeration Service Manager

Location: Solihull

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum / 8am – 5pm / Monday – Friday / 23 + 8 days holiday

We are a family-run business based in the West Midlands specialising in refrigeration and air conditioning, with over 35 years of experience. Operating across the West Midlands, our team of ten engineers delivers installation, servicing, and repair solutions.

We support a wide range of organisations, including restaurant chains, hotels, football stadiums, as well as retail and manufacturing companies.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Manager to oversee our service operations from our Solihull office. This role combines technical knowledge with operational management, including preparing quotations and managing a team of field-based engineers to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting a team of refrigeration engineers
  • Planning and overseeing daily service, maintenance, and repair schedules
  • Preparing accurate and competitive quotations for service, repair, and project work
  • Acting as the main point of contact for key clients and handling escalations
  • Monitoring job progress to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Providing technical support and guidance to engineers where required
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • Reviewing service performance and implementing improvements where necessary
  • Coordinating with suppliers and ordering parts as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in refrigeration and/or air conditioning (essential)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems
  • Experience preparing quotations and cost estimates
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and customer-facing abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in office systems and scheduling software
