Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Neuro-Rehabilitation Nurse to provide specialised nursing care to patients recovering from neurological injuries or conditions. The role involves delivering comprehensive patient care, supporting rehabilitation programmes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise recovery outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, medication administration, and patient-centred care principles. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate and expert nursing support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to patients undergoing neuro-rehabilitation, including monitoring vital signs and neurological status.
  • Assist with the implementation of personalised rehabilitation plans in collaboration with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and physicians.
  • Administer prescribed medications accurately, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and documentation standards.
  • Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote recovery and independence.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organisational policies.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living, including mobility assistance, personal hygiene, and nutritional needs.
  • Observe for any changes in patient condition or behaviour, promptly reporting concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff at all times.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse qualification recognised within the UK (NMC registration).
  • Proven experience in neuro-rehabilitation or neurology nursing is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to neurological functions and injuries.
  • Competence in medication administration with an understanding of pharmacological principles relevant to neurological conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide empathetic patient support and education.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Pay: £26,727.95-£45,307.46 per year
