About e-Careers

e-Careers is a fast-growing training company delivering professional training and apprenticeships across the UK. We are in an exciting phase of growth, building quality-first programmes in cutting-edge digital fields. Our team is collaborative, nurturing, and committed to improving outcomes for every learner we work with.

The Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Internal Quality Assurer to join our quality team on a freelance, full-time basis. You will play a central role in upholding assessment standards across our apprenticeship programmes in AI Practitioner (Level 4), Service Design (Level 6), and Digital Solutions Technician (Level 3).

We want a partner who will help us evolve our quality processes, mentor our delivery team, and contribute to a learner-centric culture as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute robust sampling plans to verify that assessment practice is fair, consistent, and meets apprenticeship standard requirements
  • Support and mentor the delivery team, driving a 'lived experience' approach to learning that goes beyond compliance
  • Maintain documentation and assessment evidence aligned with the current Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF 2025)
  • Collaborate with Operations and Delivery teams to automate IQA processes and ensure data integrity and timely learner progression
  • Lead standardisation activities to ensure consistent interpretation of assessment criteria across digital and technical programmes
  • Monitor and evidence apprentice progress clearly, ensuring readiness for Ofsted 'Deep Dive' scrutiny

Essential Requirements

  • Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (or legacy V1/D34 equivalent)
  • Active Level 3 Assessor qualification: CAVA, A1, D32, or D33
  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated experience in the apprenticeship sector
  • Clear working knowledge of the 2025 Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and Deep Dive methodology
  • Proven ability to lead and document standardisation meetings
  • Experience IQA-ing standards from Level 3 through to Level 6
  • Comfortable verifying complex technical assessment evidence (e.g. AI, Service Design)
  • Collaborative mindset with a track record in small, close-knit team environments

Desirable

  • Direct experience with Level 4 AI Practitioner or Level 6 Service Design standards
  • Experience using Power BI, Excel automation, or digital quality management platforms
  • Involvement in curriculum development or process design beyond standard IQA duties
  • Experience onboarding or training new coaches and assessors
  • Education or pedagogy qualification: Level 3/4 Award in Education and Training, PGCE, or equivalent
  • Management or leadership qualification supporting strategic quality oversight
  • Industry certifications in AI ethics, service design, or digital solutions

Skills and Attributes

  • Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing and verifying assessment evidence
  • Ability to translate complex assessment requirements into clear, accessible guidance
  • Coaching-led feedback style that empowers assessors to improve quality, not just comply
  • Strong digital literacy with the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-moving digital apprenticeship landscape

What We Offer

  • £150 per day (freelance engagement)
  • Fully remote working arrangement
  • A collaborative, growth-focused team environment
  • Long-term, recurring partnership for the right candidate
  • The opportunity to shape and improve quality processes as the business scales
  • Real autonomy to drive meaningful, learner-centric outcomes

Working Arrangement

This is a freelance, full-time role with a regular, consistent weekly commitment. We are looking for someone who wants to integrate fully into our team rhythm and see this as a core part of their professional portfolio. While we would love an immediate start, we will wait for the right person.
