Driver’s Mate – 2-Man Home Delivery & Installation self-employed position,

We are looking for a reliable, local, hardworking, and customer-focused Driver’s Mate to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent self-employed position working as part of a 2-man delivery crew, assisting with the delivery of white goods, furniture, and other large household items to customers’ homes.

The role involves supporting the driver with multi-drop deliveries, heavy lifting, installations, furniture assembly, and product setup. You will play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver with multi-drop deliveries throughout the day.
  • Safely load, unload, and handle white goods, furniture, and other bulky items.
  • Carry products into customers’ homes while respecting their property.
  • Assist with furniture assembly, installations, and product setup.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and within scheduled timeframes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Follow all company procedures, operational standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Assist with vehicle checks, cleanliness, and organisation.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery where required.
  • Work closely with the driver to resolve delivery issues and maintain service levels.

Requirements

  • Available to work Monday to Saturday every week, with flexibility for occasional Sunday work when required.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items safely throughout the day.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
  • Previous delivery, warehouse, removals, furniture assembly, or installation experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
