We are looking for a reliable and experienced Removals Driver / Porter to join our growing team at Cookham Removals & Storage. We are a trusted local company well known for excellent service, professionalism, and care. You will be above everything else, reliable, articulate, take care and pride in what you do and be ultra polite.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out domestic and commercial removals to a high standard
• Driving company vans (3.5T) – clean UK car driving licence required (Manual)
• Loading, unloading and handling customers’ furniture and belongings safely
• Dismantling and re-assembling furniture where required
• Packing house contents properly and securely to prevent damage and breakage
• Providing friendly, professional customer service on every job
• Working as part of a team and occasionally leading on-site tasks
• Some early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work
• Outside of removals we are a local waste business, assisting on this would be a requirement when moves are not taking place.

What We’re Looking For

· Experienced removals background (minimum 1 year)

· Experience in safe vehicle loading and packing

• Clean full UK MANUAL CAR driving licence (essential this is not optional - max 3 points speeding), held minimum 2 years - Auto licence or motorbike only is not acceptable.
• To be covered on our insurance you must be over 30 years old.
• Physically fit, hard-working, and comfortable with manual handling
• Professional, polite, and customer-focused - understand what's required working in peoples houses with their belongings.
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Trustworthy, punctual and presentable, reliability is essential in this role
• Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

• Have you had relevant experience driving large vans (manual not auto)
• Is English your first or second language, if second it must be fluent, and you must be able to communicate clearly with verbally and in writing.
• For insurance purposes you must be over 30. This job requires driving and therefore you must also hold a clean license, or no more than 3 speeding points.
