Role Summary

We are actively recruiting an Electrician who is looking to progress into contracts management & estimating. We are looking to train and develop the successful applicant into a highly skilled Contracts Manager & customer-focused Company Ambassador. You will be working as part of the David Pearce Electrical Administration Team, initially under the direct supervision of the senior management.

It is our hope that the successful applicant will develop and hone the skills required to progress into a more senior role within David Pearce (Electrical Contractors) Ltd or one of our sister companies; First for Fire & Security Ltd / Eco Power Systems Ltd.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily customer interaction managing and progressing new work enquiries.
  • Providing technical / suitability guidance to the procurement team.
  • Providing daily support to the on-site workforce.
  • Client visits to allow us to comprise project quotations.
  • Client visits to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and to verify the delivery of quality workmanship.
  • Job administration pre and post works.
  • Support the management of health and safety compliance on site and ensure adherence to relevant regulation.
  • Develop organisational skills through managing multiple tasks efficiently, whilst prioritising deadlines.

Essential:

  • Experience completing electrical installation work to a high standard.
  • Good knowledge of the requirements of the BS 7671 18th edition IET electrical wiring regulations.
  • Full & total commitment to the role.
  • Customer-focused, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • A good level of education and command of the English Language.
  • Full UK driving licence (3 points max).
  • Good IT skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical services and electrical products.
  • Health & Safety Awareness and the need for safe methods of working.
  • Have a good eye for detail, highly motivated to succeed.
  • Good verbal communication and telephone skills.

Desirable:

  • Qualified Electrician
  • City & Guilds BS7671:2018 Level 3 – Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2391 - Testing and Inspecting (previously 2394/2395)
  • City & Guilds 2919 - Electric Vehicle Charging
  • Experience/knowledge in the EV Charging sector (AC & DC)
  • Good knowledge of ‘The IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’
  • Experience/knowledge in the renewable energy sector (PV Solar)
  • ECS Gold Card Holder
  • Enhanced DBS verified
  • Knowledge of simPRO - Field Service Management Software.
