Maintenance Person - 25 hrs p/w - Health Care Scheme - Company Sick Pay - Benefits - Family Run Company - Flexible

Hourly Rate: £14.40

Requirements:

  • Previous maintenance/handyman experience required.
  • To contribute to the Home's healthy and safety through general maintenance duties, including day to day repairs as well as coordinating certification compliance, liaising with external professional bodies (Lift/Fire/Tradesmen) and organising relevant regulatory checks. I.e. Water temps/samples, PAT testing and certain drills/checks. Completing monthly audits.
  • To have overall responsibility for the Maintenance Department, reporting to Home Manager.

Overview:

Located in the village of Lychett Matravers, near Poole, Castle Farm was part of the Great Farm which was divided into smaller units at the time of the Enclosures Act. The oldest part of the farmhouse dates from the 18th century and the farm was in continual agricultural use until the 1980s. The Retirement Home is on the edge of the village, with access to the local GP surgery, library, village store and post office. Residents enjoy the peace, tranquility and beauty of the unspoilt Dorset countryside whilst also benefitting from the fresh, clean country air. Rated 'Good' in all areas by CQC.
