We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre, located in Gatwick.

Parking on site, working within the Immigration estate, challenging and fast paced environment, good induction and good pathways for career enhancement. Working in a team of 15 and working with a wide range of healthcare professionals.
You will also receive a golden hello payment of £3,500 which is paid in 4 instalments, upon starting.

Hours

37.5 hours working 11.5 hour shift patterns, 7am-7:30pm working 3 days a week. Rolling shift pattern.

Flexible to do occasional night shifts when required.

Salary

Salary ranges between £34,428- £41,659 per annum - depending on experience.

You will also receive a golden hello payment of £3,500 which is paid in 4 instalments, upon starting.

What you'll be doing

As a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
  • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
  • Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications required:

  • Registered nurse – Adult
  • Current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

  • Excellent communication skills
