Full job description

Research Recruiter

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Starting Salary: £24,125

Hours: 36.5

Research projects only succeed when we find the right people to take part.

That is what this role is about.

This is a telephone-based role where you will spend a large part of your day speaking to people, building rapport and understanding whether they are the right fit for a research study. If you enjoy talking to people, are naturally curious and can build trust quickly, you will probably enjoy this role.

Working alongside our Project Managers, you will recruit participants for a wide range of research projects. That means speaking to people, asking the right questions, making sure they meet the project requirements and ensuring they are fully prepared to take part.

This is not a sales role.

Instead, we are looking for someone who is confident on the phone, enjoys speaking to different people every day and is organised enough to manage multiple projects at the same time. Someone who listens carefully, builds trust quickly and is determined to find the right people for every project.

You will probably enjoy this role if you:

  • are confident speaking to people on the phone.
  • build rapport quickly and enjoy meeting new people.
  • ask good questions and listen carefully.
  • are organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • enjoy solving problems and finding different ways to recruit participants.
  • take ownership and make things happen.

Experience in market research is helpful but not essential. We can teach you our recruitment methodology and systems. What is much harder to teach is confidence, curiosity, resilience and the ability to build genuine relationships over the phone.

This role is likely to suit someone with experience in recruitment, customer service, hospitality, retail, healthcare, call centres, account management or any role where building relationships and communicating confidently with people is a key part of the job.

We are a collaborative business and, when things get busy, everyone gets stuck in. We trust people to take ownership, support each other and get things done.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, or any other protected characteristic.

We want everyone to feel they can be themselves at work, and we are committed to creating an environment where people are treated with respect, valued for what they bring and supported to succeed.

If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know. We will be happy to discuss how we can support your application.

Pay: £24,125.00 per year
