Job Advert: Residential Children’s Support Worker

Our residential home provides long-term care, short-term placements, and specialist support for individuals with disabilities. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those we support, helping them achieve greater independence, wellbeing, and fulfilment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Participation in leisure activities and support safe excursions
  • Support children’s individual needs, choices, and involvement in their own plans
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Promote independence and personal development
  • Attend meetings, supervisions, and training for ongoing professional growth
  • Assist children with daily living, hygiene, nutrition, and health appointments
  • Create an environment where our children feel happy and safe

Requirements:

  • Ability to support using positive approaches
  • Work within a team
  • Professional at all times
  • Commitment to high standards of care and safeguarding
  • NVQ Level 3 (Children and Young People) desirable but not essential
  • Work to a rota of 2 days in 4 days off

Pay: £13.85-£15.55 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36.9 per week

Education:

  • Social Care Wales Registration (preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS check (preferred)
