Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality and food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production in a fast-paced setting. The Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence across all departments.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
  • Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor staff performance to optimise productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas.
  • Assist with food production processes, including menu planning and ingredient management.
  • Support staff training programmes, including onboarding new team members and ongoing development.
  • Handle customer service issues promptly to uphold excellent hospitality standards.
  • Coordinate with management on inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts.
  • Extensive restaurant experience, including knowledge of food safety protocols.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel hospitality is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on training, mentoring, and motivating staff.
  • Knowledge of serving standards and hospitality best practices.
