Shift Leader – Bar & Restaurant
Fox & Goose Inn, Brent Knoll, Somerset

We're looking for a confident, friendly Shift Leader to help run the bar and restaurant floor at the Fox & Goose, a busy country pub, restaurant and hotel.

The role:

  • Lead shifts on the bar and in the restaurant, keeping service running smoothly during busy periods
  • Lock up the premises, including cash handling and security checks
  • Supervise and support bar/floor staff, delegating tasks and keeping the team motivated
  • Deliver excellent customer service, dealing confidently with guest queries and complaints
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and stock rotation
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety and health & safety procedures
  • Step in hands-on across bar, table service, and front-of-house as needed

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory hospitality role (bar, restaurant or pub)
  • A friendly, approachable manner with strong customer service skills
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable being responsible for opening/closing the premises
  • Good communication and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Personal licence holder (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus
