Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team at Pizzeria Vesuvio and Steak By Night. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring a high standard of food safety and cleanliness. Previous restaurant experience and strong organisational skills are highly valued. The successful applicant will play a key role in enhancing the overall guest experience and maintaining the lively environment of our establishment.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent service throughout their visit.
  • Take orders accurately, handle cash or card payments, and operate the till efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
  • Assist in setting up for special events or themed nights to enhance guest experience.
  • Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment for all patrons.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable.
  • Excellent serving skills with a friendly demeanour and strong communication abilities.
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately.
  • Good time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
