About our visitor attraction centre

Our Visitor Attraction site at Lisvane and Llanishen opened in 2023, in the North of Cardiff, and is open all year round! This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to join Welsh Water. The site boasts, a state-of-the-art Visitor Attraction building with 150cover restaurant, balcony with views over both reservoirs, group and cubicle changing rooms, both land and water-based activities, education learning space, bird hides & islands, meeting rooms and a Grab & Go.

What you’ll be responsible for

We appreciate that working in the kitchen can be a tough one. That said, our team still have an amazing time and are at the top of their game because the food they prepare, cook and serve creates amazing memories for our guests leaving them wanting more.

What makes our kitchen such a fun place to work is the teamwork, everyone working together to achieve outstanding results. A positive outlook with a great attitude and a willingness to work hard as part of your team whilst having fun along the way is all we're asking of you!

Even though we're not looking for Al-a-Carte chefs, we are looking to develop a team of colleagues who have a shared passion for all things food with perhaps some basic kitchen experience - however full training is available for the right candidates.

• Facilities management team
• Any DCWW group using the VC as a meeting venue

External

• Local community & visitors
• Welsh Government, Local Authorities, and other regulatory bodies
• Event organisers

About you

The following knowledge, experience & skills are essential:

• Commercial catering and kitchen supervisory experience
• Practical health & safety and food safety experience
• Catering / Retail customer service knowledge
• Ability to work on own initiative, and manage a team

• Zero hours contract but there will be work available throughout school holidays.
