Full job description

Location – Chichester Festival Theatre

Job Title – Commis Chef

Contract – Zero Hour Agreement (opportunity for full time hours/permanent contract)

Rate of pay - £12.75 per hour

Caper & Berry are the in-house caterer at the Chichester Festival Theatre, where this role will be based. We are looking for a Commis Chef to strengthen our established team.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic with a keen, positive attitude and an excitement to learn about the industry. There is also the potential for further opportunities and progression within our ever-expanding company.

This is an entry level position with full training provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· To assist in the assurance of the highest standards of food quality, service, hygiene and cleanliness being met

· Primary tasks will revolve around the food preparation within the kitchen, following SOP’s, instructions and recipes.

· Learning essential culinary skills, techniques and kitchen protocols under the guidance of senior chefs.

· To assist in performing all necessary administration duties, including completion of daily sheets, checking of deliveries, recording transfers and stock taking.

· Managing a station during service periods, assisting with the plating of dishes

· Ad-hoc tasks as required by the Head Chef.

· Respectable appearance.
