Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing bar operations, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will have a background in managing a busy bar, with a focus on hospitality excellence. This is a paid position that offers opportunities for professional growth within our organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the bar team to ensure efficient service delivery and high standards of customer care
  • Manage daily operations including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Ensure all beverages are prepared according to company standards and customer preferences
  • Monitor staff performance, provide training, and foster a positive team environment
  • Organise staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively
  • Handle customer complaints or queries promptly and professionally
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation related to food safety, alcohol licensing, and general premises management
  • Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business

Experience

  • Proven management of a bar / pub
  • Extensive knowledge of managing a bar
  • Experience in managing teams within a busy environment such as bars or restaurant
  • Previous roles involving serving customers in hospitality environments such as bars / pubs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to food service and alcohol licensing
  • Per license holder a big plus
  • Working days are Thursday- Sunday (thurs -sat from 4pm , Sunday 12-6 with Monday / Tuesday & Wednesday days off
  • Personal licence preferred
