Located in the heart of Ilkley town centre, Pranzo Italian restaurant holds an enviable and proud position in the city and local community. A 80 seater restaurant & bar with a stunning glass frontage. We are passionate about everything homemade, our pasta, breads, sauces, desserts and more are all made by our dedicated and skilled chefs.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, while adhering to food safety regulations. This position requires a commitment to excellence and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest level of hygiene is maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal dishes and specials.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in food presentation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
