Full job description

We have a vacancy for an experienced restaurant and bar leader, to join our thriving, independent restaurant and bar, in the heart of the Plymouth Barbican.

Within this role, you will begin working closely with the company owner and current management, with the intent of quickly taking the reins of the day to day operation, to ensure an overall productive and efficient operation. This role will suit a hands on, customer facing leader, that sees themselves as the face of the business, as well as passionate leader, inspiring to reach weekly/monthly sales and GP targets and customer feedback retention.

We are looking for a mature individual, that works well under pressure, to set the example of a calm and well managed service, no matter the challenge presented.

Specific duties:

- Team management, including performance management, appraisals and recruitment.

- Overseeing and carrying out, stock control and order management.

- Being a hands on leader, that will include themselves within the front of house rota, to ensure man power is managed as tightly as possible. Due to our waterside location, an understanding of semi seasonal wage management is required.

- Assisting of marketing campaigns and other route of advertising, for continued growth in business.

- Problem solving and continuing to implement, well practised systems, to ensure a smooth and profitable food and beverage operation.

- Assisting and advising owners, as to previous proven successful processes/products.

Contract:

Full time

Rate of pay:

Basic: £35,000

Bonus earnings: £5,000

Total OTE: £40,000
