Honey & Co Bloomsbury is looking for a Shift Manager / Shift Supervisor with bags of energy, passion and professionalism to join our team.

We are well known for our friendly and knowledgeable service so a genuine love for this industry is essential. Our standards are very high so yours must be too. It is important that you inspire the rest of the team to maintain our high service standards and have an in-depth knowledge of everything we have on offer!

We have a kind and supportive company culture, which you will both benefit from and contribute to. The role is hands-on and you will work closely with the rest of the team, communicating between the sections on the floor, bar and the kitchen to ensure the service is running smoothly. Leading by example is crucial.

We are open for lunch, dinner and Saturday brunch so the shifts will be a mix of day and evenings.

We will consider applicants with prior managing experience or candidates with extensive experience in restaurants who have worked at a supervisor level/head wait staff or similar.

There is definite opportunity for growth within the company for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Training staff on the food & drinks menu and order of service
  • Ensuring that we have the most effective seating plan for the shift and that return times are met, or the plan is adjusted as needed during service
  • Communicating throughout service with the kitchen to ensure that tickets coming through are clear and the pace of orders coming in is smooth
  • Acting on and communicating any customer notes, ie. birthdays, allergies, special requests
  • Maintaining our order of service to the highest level, and ensuring all FOH staff do the same, so customers feel looked after from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave
  • Making sure a positive and productive energy is maintained by the team throughout the shift
  • Making a connection with our customers, ensuring that they have the best experience and leave excited to return in the future
  • Making sure the restaurant is clean and tidy throughout the shift and maintaining H&S records
