BAR MANAGER

OVERVIEW

Bar Manager required for a social club that attracts a more senior and discerning clientele. The role combines management responsibilities alongside general bar duties.

Management tasks can be undertaken at any time during the week with the agreement of the club secretary.

Currently the bar shifts cover the evenings of Thursday through to Sunday, although this could be subject to some change for the successful candidate.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bar Manager reports to the Club Secretary, who represents the Club Committee.

However, the Secretary will generally adopt a "Hands Off" approach and the Bar Manager will be responsible for the following:

Leading and motivating staff

Staff training, shift scheduling and general day to day management issues.

Maintaining good working relationships with a range of suppliers, ensuring VFM and identifying any potentially beneficial offers.

Product availability and Stock control

Ensuring compliance with Licencing and Health and Safety legal requirements

Ensuring the Club is maintained to a high level of cleanliness

Dealing with day to day customer feedback and resolving any issues identified

KEY REQUIREMENTS

A proven track record of working in a similar environment

An outgoing personality, ensuring positive engagement with customers

Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items such as 50lb kegs

Flexibility regarding shifts, for example holiday cover

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
