Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Keyholder/Duty Manager to lead our bar team and ensure an exceptional guest experience at The Trent Navigation and Big Shed - our flagship venue just a stone's throw away from The World Famous City Ground, Historic Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and Meadow Lane - Home of Notts County FC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional pubs and hospitality venues. As a Keyholder/Duty Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager, oversee daily operations, manage staff, and maintain high standards of service and product quality.

We are looking for someone with a lot of experience, must be prepared to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise bar staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food production and service.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
  • Train new staff on bartending techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards.
  • Deliver excellent service.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly to enhance the dining experience.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a bar management role or similar supervisory position within the hospitality industry is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, food preparation, and culinary practices.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike.
  • A passion for the hospitality industry with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
