Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, initiating and supervising food and drink events, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Duties

  • Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Supervise and train staff, including bartenders, servers
  • Manage inventory levels of beverages, food supplies, and other stock items; place orders as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas.
  • Develop new drink menus and promotional offers to enhance customer experience.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with health regulations.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and optimal service flow.
  • Promote a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably within a bar or similar setting.
  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience with serving in a hospitality environment; craft beer experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations, including food production and beverage service.
